LONDON: Rehman Malik, former interior minister, arrived Saturday in London to discuss the prevailing situation with Pakistan People’s Party president, Asif Ali Zardari,
Yesterday, Zardari had summoned Malik to London.
Talking to Samaa before his departure, he said Malik dispelled the impression that his visit to London was part of any plan.
He said the president of PPP, Asif Ali Zardari would decide himself whether or not wanted to visit Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, who was in London for medical treatment.
“I have no idea why Asif Zardari has called me to London,” he said.
The former interior minister denied that he was reprimanded by party leaders during a high-level meeting of the central committee of the PPP. “These reports are absolutely rubbish and lies,” he said.
